Adaptive AUTOSAR
Development

Avelabs continues to support innovations in future technologies by offering talents in the Adaptive AUTOSAR Platform. Recent and future vehicle functions such as highly automated driving, interacting with external infrastructure systems and OTA are, along with other features, the focus of the AUTOSAR Adaptive Platform.

Avelabs has been an active contributor to the Adaptive AUTOSAR standard through its active membership in different working groups:
- WG-IVC (In Vehicle Communication - AP subgroup)
- WG-AP-EMO (Execution Management and OS)
- WG-SEC (Security - AP subgroup)
Checkmark
Avelabs is Working with both Commercial Adaptive Stack (from a German provider) and AUTOSAR demonstrator stack.
Checkmark
Creating custom Yocto images, including stack code and other added modules for debugging or custom features.
Checkmark
Fixing issues / adding features in few Adaptive function clusters in the AUTOSAR demonstrator code
Checkmark
Developing custom demo tool for deployments on HW boards (a UCM backend that serves as a simplified proof of concept for testing update management scenarios and various dynamic deployments).
Checkmark
Developing custom Adaptive Applications using features of Communication, Persistency storage, EM (Execution Management), SM (State Management), UCM (Update and Configuration Management), Diagnostics, TSync (Time Synchronization), IAM (Identity Management), PHM (Platform Health Management).

Performance
Optimization

We develop benchmarking framework to analyze Adaptive stack performance over different HW platforms with many features combinations, for example:

Effect of encrypted communication on overall schedulability and performance
Checkmark
Effect of IPC optimizations (Inter-Process communication as adaptive deployment)
Checkmark
Effect of ECU virtualization (on top of a Type-1 automotive grade hypervisor)
Checkmark
Stress testing with many variability factors (No. of parallel App. processes, simultaneous access of system services... etc )

Multiple Targets

Integrating / debugging Adaptive applications into both emulated and hardware targets.
